In the 94th minute, sheer ecstasy erupted for Chelsea and caretaker boss Calum McFarlane as Enzo Fernández forced home a dramatic equaliser. The goal left Pep Guardiola in a state of despair and gifted the stand-in Chelsea manager a career-defining moment. On paper, Guardiola versus McFarlane could be billed as the Premier League's greatest managerial mismatch, making the recollection of Fernández's pivotal intervention one to cherish the 40-year-old throughout his career.

A Glaring Contrast in Pedigree

On the home bench was the era's defining coach, a man with 40 trophies for football's giants Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City, overseeing his 1,012th match. In the opposite technical area, was a former coach at non-league sides Croydon and Whyteleafe, who had served in City's own academy and stepped up to make his first-team debut after being seconded from his regular role overseeing Chelsea's youth teams.
